Smile Studio: Family Dentistry and Orthodontics

This whole office is delusional!! You can’t even speak with the owner of this establishment does she think she is better than the ppl that are paying her?? The staff is very rude all except the office manger . I pray God gives her the wisdom not to waste her talent with garbage!! Now I have to figure out how not to get jacked by dummies who think they are smarter than a fifth grader.

Very upsetting I get my Daughter explanation of benefits in the mail from her November 21 periodic Evaluation and I’m being billed for the services. When she saw them in May, there was no additional charge because normally periodic dental cleanings and evaluations are free on my insurance. And with most dental insurances, you’re allowed cleanings, and evaluations every six months 100% of the allowable. Meeting that you don’t pay anything out Of pocket. I called my insurance, and they said that this provider dropped out of network at the end of May. The provider, this dentist office did not notify anyone that they are no longer in network with my insurance company and knowing this they still continued to make an appointment for November without notifying or advising of this change. Also, they tried to tell me my daughter needed braces. Kept pushing to say we need to get this taken care of and I have to get it done before this time or the price will be different. I went and got a second opinion And was advised that her new teeth are just coming in and a roots have not settled. getting braces would not be good at this Time. And for the tooth they kept saying was gonna come in and be on top of other teeth, The other orthodontist advised He sees where it will fit right in embraces will not be needed at this time, or for that reason they were saying. That orthodontist has agreed to see us every six months as a consultation until braces are needed if they’re needed.. So yeah, smile studio is no longer a place for me and my family. To respond to the message smile studios sent.. you are not a fit bc you are now out of network.with Bluecross/United Concordia. which means although the insurance will still pay you, you can now balance bill ur patients to get the full billed charge amount where as being a network provider the patient only pays the discounted allowed amount. So now that u can balance bill it becomes an unnecessary and additional cost to the patient. When the service should be covered at 100% of the allowable by an in network dental provider. The most upsetting is when we checked in your front desk person should have advised we are no longer in network and the billing will now be this amount. And yes u would know because u have the fee scale there to advise. And no you are not the right fit when you are trying to push a treatment onto your patient(s) that is costly and not needed. Oh and my dental journey will be fine. There are plenty to choose from.

Do not go here. I got a root canal and it took two hours. I was awake the entire time and it felt like literal torture. Also, I wanted to get a second opinion before getting other things done. Turns out smile studio just wants you money, because I went to z dentistry and they told me I don’t need all my older filling redone, I just needed one redone. So smile studio is trying to trick people out of their money. Thank you to the girl who posted about getting that second opinion, you saved me a lot of money. Y’all go to Z dentistry they are so knowledgeable, gentle, and kind. Z dentistry took their time getting out the cement that smile studio left on my gums and prescribed antibiotic because my gums are still hurting after three weeks from that canal.

It’s been 2 decades since I’ve been to the dentist. But decided to start working on my mind and body and Smile studio came through for me in a clutch. The staff made everything that’s usually not enjoyable, enjoyable. There was jokes, smiles, and laughter going on everywhere’s I went in the building. I got a deep clean and almost fell asleep. The staff made everything go so nice and smooth and even prevented me from drooling all over myself 🤭. Definitely recommend this place for you and your families needs.
